Grooms, sometimes it takes more than a shave and a haircut to really 'clean up good.' Try these spa tips to look and feel your best on that special day

Your wedding day is fast approaching and you notice your cheeks are too rough to be at their bussing best. As for your cuticles, they're so ragged they flap in the wind.
It's time for you, the groom, to do the manly thing and sign up for a few spa treatments.
Although the bride traditionally goes in for the primping, getting spiffed up will make you feel more confident as a groom on your wedding day. And you'll quickly discover there's nothing like a little TLC from a spa staff to relax you.
Here are the top four grooming treatments experts suggest men receive to become their wedding-day best.
Pedicure
This is a delightful experience, even if you don't intend to bare your feet in a shoeless-on-the-beach ceremony.
"Once men see their cuticles being trimmed and feel the massage up to their knees, they're not the same," says Teresa McKee, vice president of operations for Red Door in New York.
Your feet probably haven't felt so good since you were a baby, McKee says. And your pampered feet will get you through long reception lines.
Schedule a pedicure a day before the wedding.
Facial
"A trend in spas for men is something called a sports facial," says Rachel Weingarten, a former celebrity makeup artist and beauty and trends expert in New York. "A sports facial results in refreshed skin without the pampering effect that might drive some guys nuts."
Get a facial two weeks in advance, so your skin doesn't look raw, McKee advises.
Haircut
Select a style you're comfortable with and that's familiar to your guests.
"Don't try to look like Ashton Kutcher or whoever the celebrity du jour is, and concentrate on looking your best," Weingarten says.
Make a haircut appointment a week before the wedding so you're not newly shorn. As a special treat, include a relaxing scalp and neck massage, McKee says.
Manicure
Imagine how uncomfortable you'd feel greeting your friends with rough hands and you'll want an appointment for a manicure.
"It's very important to have well-groomed hands. There are photos of hands cutting the wedding cake, or doing the ring exchange, to say nothing of hands being shaken," says McKee, who recommends scheduling a manicure the day before the ceremony.
Do-it-yourself treatment
If you'd like to confine your grooming to your bathroom, Weingarten offers these tips:
• Apply toner to shiny skin; exfoliate dry or flaky skin and finish with a moisturizer. Most drugstores carry skincare brands such as Neutrogena or Nivea in lines just for men.
• Hirsute guys might want to trim nostril or ear hair and separate a unibrow by tweezing or waxing the hairs between eyebrows.
• Use teeth-whitening strips for a photo-perfect smile.
• Apply lip balm to chapped lips.
